In TextEdit select Format>Font>Styles...>select 'Favorite Styles', then select the unwanted style and finally choose 'Remove From Favorites'. I think that should do it.

Thank you. I now see that is one way, but a quicker way is to expand a text edit blank document to get the TOP LEFT Paragraph Styles ICON. Hitting it gets me the "Show Styles" and from there I use your method. Just a bit quicker, but without your help I would not have seen that. Thank you.
