I have a whole lot of peoples wifi connections on my desktop and it always goes first to "infinity" which is annoying. Then I have to click on the wifi icon to pick my wifi connection at home. I see a whole lot of other connections, how do I make my computer to directly go to my wifi instead of "infinity" ?

Apple menu/System Preferences/Network/Wi-Fi/Advanced/Can't remember the rest because this machine doesn't have Wi-Fi, but it's in there somewhere :)

No need to go to advanced. Just go to System Preferences, choose the Network Pane. Then choose your network. Then you'll be asked to enter your password. My network is called Blackflash. Named after my black chiweenie who runs like a flash.

This is correct, you'll see a table with all the networks you've attached to. You can delete them, also you can reorder them with your preference when attaching, top down.

Delete is the - button on the back next to the + It may be obvious but it took me a while to actually figure that simple thing out
