I have a iPhone X that I bought from Apple Refurbished. I put in my Verizon sim in it when it arrived, no problem.

I want to download the a iOS ipsw file but I need to select if it is GSM or Global to select the correct ipsw file. I thought one way tell would to find the Model Number on the outside below the "iPhone", but I do not see it.

How do I determine if I have a model A1865 (Global) or A1901 (GSM)?

TIA.

I found the answer via Google.
Settings app, tap General, and then tap About. Scroll down and search for the Model listing. If you do not see the model number starting with "A", tap on it and it will toggle it.
