Others can use this thread for such questions as How do I do <this and that> on the iPhone type of things.

My questions are:

How do I delete multiple words/lines while editing an email?

How do I move the cursor to the spot I want while typing. Touching the approximate area works but it is quite clumsy and it takes quite a few tries to get it to work. The backarrow type key erases the character to its left and so that is not useful.

If you hold the delete key, after a short delay it will start deleting whole words (initially, it repeatedly deletes characters). That's about it, for now.

What 3rd party apps? The Web 2.0 apps are used in Safari - they are not on your phone - they are web pages.
