How do I edit MySQL databases directly?

I want to edit something in my database, but I don't know how to access it.

(I'm new to all this MySQL stuff, so be gentle )

Do you have PHPAdmin installed on your server? It's relatively easy to navigate through based on the level of your understanding.

I use Navicat, which is a really nice GUI for MySQL.

Now that I know the site is reading the database fine, now I gotta find out why it wouldn't WRITE to the database.

Instead of PHPmyAdmin there is a great alternative called MySQL Quick Admin. Might want to check it out I prefer it much more.

I like Navicat. Just keep in mind, that some hosting companies don't allow remote access through GUI interfaces. 1and1 does not.
