My understanding is that Airplay allows you to stream audio and video wirelessly to and from your iOS devices and Macs. How do you enable it?

I upgraded my iPhone 4 to 4.3.1, I've got a Mac Mini (10.6.7) connected to my HD TV, and I also have a MBPro (10.6.7). I'd love to be able to stream directly from my iPhone to my Mini (and vice versa), but I'm not seeing the Airplay icon anywhere.

Is there a setting or preference I have to turn on? I've turned on Home Sharing on both Macs, and all devices are using the same iTunes account.

You can only stream media to an Apple TV 2 or Airport Express.

Really? Geez, what a letdown. So I need to use a 3rd party solution to stream to and from my iPhone and Mac.

Buy an ATV2, they're only $99 and worth ever penny.

No ****. The Apple TV is very sweet - I have both a mini and an Apple TV(2) hooked up to my Sony - I use the ATV more than I would have thought. It's a nice machine, nice interface and "just works". Gotta love it.
