I have just had :ntl cable broadband put in and I'm trying to connect it to my trendnet router so I can have wireless access in my home.
I've read up on it and found I need to clone my Mac's MAC address onto the router to tell the cable modem that it is to feed the broadband to the router, not my Mac...

....but I don't know where my MAC address is, any ideas?
thanks

Open System Preferences...

Network, select Airport, click configure at bottom of window, and the Airport I.D. listed in under the Airport tab in the next window is the MAC address of the airport in your computer.

For the MAC address of your ethernet adapter, open "About This Mac" found in the blue Apple drop down menu, then click on "More info...", then select "Network" in the menu on the left, and then scroll down in the box on the lower right of the window and scroll down. Near the bottom you will see settings for your ethernet port, including its MAC address.

Go Apple Menu > About This Mac > More Info > Network (on the left, with an arrow next to it) and then scroll down in the text box on the right. It's the third one up. :)

1. Go to Apple:About this mac: more info (system profiler) and click on Network - choose your device and you will see the mac address

or

2. Goto Applications:Utilities:Network Utility and right on the info tab choose your device and you will see the mac address

Another way is to open the Terminal and type the "ifconfig" command. The line that begins ether is the MAC address for each interface based on ethernet.
