I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. LOVE the device. No issues and works fantastic.

BUT

I'm having an issue with Gmail app. Here's the problem: I have an email account with it but am not getting the popup notification when I get an email for ALL my emails.

I'm not sure what to do or how to fix this

Can you provide more details? Do you mean you are missing emails that are going to other mailboxes like "promotions"? And what situations are you missing notifications?

I use the gmail app for three different accounts and all notifications seem to be working properly. Maybe you could try deactivating the account in the "manage accounts on this device" section and then reauthenticate.

I turned off the promotions and social. I just have primary now. I used to get a notification that popped up even when my phone was asleep from the gmail app when I got new mail, but now for a certain sender it stopped notifying

How do I deactivate then reactivate?

Tap the circle with your initial in the upper corner when you open the app.

At the bottom of the next screen, tap the option to "manage accounts on this device".

This brings you to a third screen. There should be a toggle for each active account and an option to "remove from this device". Try the toggle first. If that doesn't work, log out by "removing" the account from your device and then adding it again.

Your issue may not be this but it should be easy to try first to troubleshoot.

It didn’t work :( Appears to be happening from one sender. Not sure what the beef is with them lol but I wish I could fix it

Ok. Try one thing: go into settings in the app and check what “notifications” says.

That’s set. I actually deleted and re downloaded app and made sure all settings in accordance with instructions. Thanks for your guidance. Now just got to wait until the sender sends me an email and see if it works lol. *Fingers crossed*
