How do I Format and Reinstall?

Hello all, I recently sold my Powerbook because I getting a 20" iMac. I need to ship it by the weekend, but I need to format and do a clean install. How would I go about doing this?

run disk utility, select your pb hd and erase it.

then install your OSX disk and then run the install. its clean of course because your HDD is empty

Hmmm, I thought there was another way, like an automated way or something.

well that way is pretty easy......

i havent done it any other way before
