Hello all

I've had a Macbook Air for a while now, but recently sold it in anticipation for the new Macbook Pros. I just sat down to format it, but realized (this happens a lot) that I have no cd drive.

I use my iMac for the AirDisk feature, but am a bit concerned. If I erase the hard drive, will this still function? In other words, when I go to reinstall OSX, on a clean partition will the Macbook Air still read the DVD from my iMac?

Has anyone had experience formatting a Macbook Air using only AirDisk?

Thanks!

Well that is what "Airdisk" is supposed to do :p

Assuming you can get the two connected, that - i.e. being able to remote boot into Disk Utility, etc - is how it's meant to work.

If you have access to another Mac, Use "Remote Install Mac OS X" in the Utilities folder.
