If you are using the same one i am using, just go to setting--profile---remove

This doesn't remove it completely. When you go into network it still has the option to turn it on or off. I've also restored my phone and then used my backup without success. Has anyone tried a fresh restore without using their backup? Or does anyone know how to get this thing removed completely?

Why not just leave it there? If you're not using it, does it bother you that much?

I have to go to the genius bar since i have a problem with my phone and if they decide to give me a new phone i don't want them to see that i put it on there and get in some sort of trouble.

This is the new tethering that you can get at http://help.benm.at/help.php. I did a full restore but i also added my backup of contacts, texts, etc. I'm wondering if anyone did a full restore without adding backups, and if they did, did it work?

Do a restore, but after the backup prompt DO NOT restore the backup.
That way the carrier bundle isn't transferred and you get the default one that came with 3.0.

after erasing the profile go to:

General>Reset>Reset all Settings

this will not effect your files in the iPhone (MP3, Contacts, Apps, ect.), it will only bring all the settings back to factory.

then you will notice that tethering is no longer in the Network page.
