I payed like ten dollars to be on a developer's list so I could use the new firmware because I didn't want to wait forever until apple released it to the public. I am constantly getting pushed into DFU/recovery mode (usually when someone sends me a text message). I would just rather have the latest NON 3.0 firmware right now because I can't stand it.

When I go in to forced recovery mode, iTunes automatically downloads the latest firmware that isn't 3.0, but it give me an error every time I try to install it. The only firmware it WILL install is iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 5.

I want the 3.0 beta off my iPhone 3G, how do I get it off?

Which beta is installed on the iPhone? Is it the 'iPhone GM Seed 3.0 - 7A341'?

Can't understand why what you've done isn't working. All I could suggest is for you to somehow obtain a version of 3.0. Then when you iPhone appears in iTunes in recover mode...

'alt' + click the 'Recovery' button then select the 'ipsw' 3.0 file and open it, this should allow the iPhone to install 3.0

If you need any

OH MY GOSH!
My iPhone showed up in iTunes!

Is there a way I can get iPhone OS 3.0 OFF my iPhone? I swear.. ever since I installed that firmware my iPhone has been acting so stupid, and would freeze up and I would be forced to recover it every few weeks..

I am using iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 5.
