I saw the rdesktop program in Cydia which supposed will let me remote into a rdp session in windows, but its an X11 program.

How do I run X11 programs? I tried xinit and startx but no go.

If I try to run rdesktop from the terminal app, it just says it can't start the display. I don't have Xterm or anything like that.

Any thoughts? I know some basic unix but its been awhile since I ran an X11 box and I'm just not seeing how X11 could run on the iphone unless I'm missing something.

Yeah I figured this out. Kinda takes the usefulness out of it doesn't it? I mean if I have a X11 Terminal in the first place why not just use rdesktop directly on that? There isn't really a benefit from running it from the phone if it doesn't use the phones display.

Not totally useless.
I have partially used it over 3G and used my laptops wifi access point function to connect to the x11 session.
