I signed up for the free trial quite some time ago.

I decided against it when the trial was over.

I canceled my account. Success.

But now, iTunes repeatedly tells there are updates available for MobilMe. I don't care. I don't want the updates.

I am using a PC.

I went to Add/Remove Programs but "MobileMe" or "Apple MobileMe" isn't listed.

How do I get rid of it, or tell my PC, or iTunes?, that I don't care about updates???

Itunes says mobileme has updates? Is it a mobileme related app (because it's in itunes)? Maybe you just need to remove that app from iTunes and you won't get the update messages anymore. Mobileme is an online service and it does not install anything directly to your PC AFAIK.

If you can provide more detail maybe others can help with better replies.

Open up Apple Software Updates and there should be an option to disable autochecking.

No, it's not an app and I was wrong. iTunes is not giving me the update message. It just pops up in a window on it's own, as an Apple Software Update notification. I'll try to open that.

Thanks for the replies! :)

Apple software update will give you that option even if it's never been installed. As well as Safari. It shouldn't pop up too often (once a week).
