Just purchased a used MacBook Pro, it came with Mojave, I’d like to install a fresh copy of Catalina on the MacBook to completely get rid of any remaining data from the previous owner, how would I go about installing a fresh copy of catalina? Thank you in advance

Internet Recovery. Press
  • Option-Command-R
and you should be able to use Disk Utility to first erase the disk, and then install the latest OS.

When I click erase the disk it will then automatically ask if I want to install the latest Os or do I need to make some step?
