How do I jailbreak on an old IOS?

i am running iOS 8.1.2.... when I go to find a jailbreak for it it is all updated to 9.0 or better. Is there a jailbreak available for an older IOS?

That is jailbreakable. You need the TaiG app (version 1.2.1 for Windows) or the PPJailbreak app (version 1 for Mac).

I do not know of a reliable source for the downloads.
