I recently saw a picture on Apple's Website that really attracted me. I've seen a couple of pictures that were designed like that on various apple websites. Here's the LINK to the picture which I've seen on THIS page (on the bottom).

I was wondering how I could create pictures like that. Is there a special overlay I can download to make that 3-dimensional look?
It's not just a half-transparent oval that is laid on top of the upper half of the picture, it's also the borders (which you can't see really good on this webpage but when you put the picture on a dark background you can see the special border).

Maybe there's an overlay file somewhere in the ADC ressources? Or is there an application where I can create this effect?

that's something I've also been looking for some time but I don't mean the aqua effect - I mean the 3D-effect.

i think he means the nice bevel effect. i just make a new layer, ctrl-click the one you want bevelled, move the selection down 1 pixel, ctrl-alt-click the layer you want bevelled, move it up 1 pix and fill it with black (on that new layer). Repeat this (but use the layer you made from the first one), but make it for the top of the layer, then turn the new layer to soft light. hope it makes sense
