I have an eMac, so I like it to be sleeping when I'm...well...sleeping. I've tried the alarm clock widget and that doesn't wake my eMac up from sleep.

So does anyone know of anything that will do this for me? iTunes integration would be nice, too.

In Energy Saver prefs, you can set a time for your eMac to wake up automatically. Then the widget should work correctly.

I'm not sure if the original poster meant to have it wake up, or have the computer wake up him. I'm a little confused. In the case that oyu want your computer to wake up you, try iRooster, which costs 10 bucks.

I didn't think it was that complicated. Let me explain. His alarm clock widget doesn't work BECAUSE his computer is asleep. Solution: Wake computer up 3-4 minutes before alarm clock widget is set to go off. Then alarm clock widget works correctly. Make sense to you now?

O ok. Sorry I misinterpreted what you were trying to say...

I think that is what he is using. If his computer is sleeping, the widget won't work.

Oh, I didn't know which he was using. I just got that widget, how do you set what time the alarm is? Is there any way to change it from 24-hours to 12-hour clock with AM/PM?

johnbro23 - This first answer was the best. In energy saver prefs, just click the schedule button on the bottom right corner, and set it to wake/start so that it'll be ready by the time your widget wants to do its work. The cool thing is that it doesn't matter whether you shut down your computer, or put it to sleep. It can handle both.

edit: and no need to spend any money, for goodness sake, for the price of a computer it darned well better do something as simple as act as an alarm clock.

I've been looking for an all inclusive software to do this, but havent' found anything free as of yet, so I use System Preferences to start my computer 5 minutes before the alarm and I have Awaken to start on startup and have it set for the appropriate time. Might give the widget a try though
