Yes, I heard that question yesterday morning.

That's why there are days I wonder whether or not that show "The Office"
is inspired on my place.

After staring the guy for a second the only think it crossed my
mind was : well, get some old stickers and spread them on the case.

Anyway, I would like to see what you people think.

From what I understood he just wants to fake its appearance without
doing real damage.

What do you suggest ?

Um, sandpaper+metal finish =OLD...

Or maybe some dirt, dents work. These are al permanent though :p

How about:

Fake scratches, can you get such things?
Dirt
Splotches of random stuff
And get some way to make the keys look worn.

Actually, not sure what his motive is here.

However, someone I work has had there power supply taken from there office 2 or 3 times. On the 3rd or 4th time he put duck dape around a brand new charger to make it look old, hasn't been taken yet.

Ha ha !

I was on the phone with a friend and he suggested
to get that iSkin (or similar), drive on top of it a few times
and putting it back.

Is there an easy way to take some keys off ? :p

A friend of a friend has a MacBook, and the outer casing is absolutely trashed. He must really just toss it around -- literally in the dirt! Filthy scratches coating the entire surface. Here I am gently picking it up and setting it down, wiping so much as a fingerprint off every chance I get, haha...

Oh well, good to know they must be durable.

I actually saw some guy at a coffee shop with a 12" PB covered in stickers. I was this(!) close smacking him a pair and taking it from him. The brutality!

Speckproducts makes see-through shells for the MacBook, I'd get a clear one and put paint or stickers on that. You can have a funky looking Mac and then just take it off if you don't like it.

The other option is to skin your Mac. DecalGirl can make a custom skin for you, you submit a photo or request and they make a skin that you can put on your laptop. My PowerBook has a skin on it.
