here are some simple steps. These are For PC. Foe Mac useres, use garage band.
**First things first** Click 'Start', click 'My Computer', click the 'Tools' drop down menu, click 'Folder Options', click the 'View' tab, and look at the Advanced Settings box. Find the statement 'Hide extensions for known file types' and remove the check from the box in front of the statement. This will show you the file extensions on your music file on your desktop.
1. Choose song and right click and click "Get Info". Choose "Options" and go down to the start and stop time. Chose the timing of the song to play (less than 35 sec for me) and then check BOTH boxes.
2. Click ok. Play song to make sure this worked, it should start on the time you chose.
3. After checking, right click and choose convert selection to AAC. It will then convert it and you will have 2 copies of the one song.
4. Choose/Find the one you just created and click and drag it to your desktop.
5. When on the desktop, rename the file at the end from mPa to mPr. Should read..
songname.mPr
6. After you have completed this, you will the double clik the file on your desktop to play it in iTunes. It should open in your "Ringtones" tab.If this tab is not visible in source pane, go into prefrences and check to show it.
7. Next, you want to go into your music library and find the 30 (or however long) second copy you made of this song and delete it. *Make sure its the copy in your MUSIC LIBRARY not your ringtones tab.
8. Last, you need to go back to the original song you chose, and right click and go into the Start and Stop time info you changed in the beginning and UNCHECK the boxes. This will allow you to listen to the song from start to end.
There you go my friend. You now have an extra 2 bucks in your wallet.
Hope this works. If any question, reply and ill help you out.
