so i have a bit of a problem. i have a 2015 MBP, with a 120gb ssd, partitioned as 80gb for macOS and 40gb for Windows. all my apps fit, the problem is spotify's cache folder goes as big as 10gb, which will be a problem. how can i make sure Spotify doesn't cache?

i don't even mind writing a script that deletes that folder every time i boot the computer, i just don't want it taking up space.

You could give this three-year old suggestion a try (let us know if it works):

For the delete-at-startup solution, an application created with Automator should do the trick. "Get Specified Finder Items" (and pick the ~/Library/Application Support/Spotify/PersistentCache/Storage folder), and then "Move Finder Items to Trash". Put the application anywhere, such as the Application folder, and then add it to System Preferences>Users & Groups>youraccount>Login Items.
