How do I map my External FireWire drive into Parallels?

I've got a few partitions on my external drive i'd like to use in XP through Parallels, I've got MacDrive installed, but they are not recognized. Any ideas?

OK, but I still have a question. If the directory for the drive is \\.PSF\ExternalShared How do I download something from a program into that directory?
