how do I mount PB as external HD on another Mac?

A relatively simple question:

I would like to plug my Powerbook into my G5 with a firewire cable, and have them be able to communicate/share files. I heard once that this was done by holding down a set of keys during startup... correct?

And which machine do I start up while holding these keys?
