How do I move notes from my iPads "on my iPad" to cloud

my notes are starting on "on my iPad", I want all my notes to sync on the cloud.

EDIT: Do i just turn off "on my phone" feature? And if so, what is the purpose of this? Just so you can have personal notes that aren't synced?

Settings > Notes > On my (device) toggle off

Settings > iCloud > Notes toggle on

This way your notes.app will essentially be mirrored across your devices.

Same problem here. Under Settings Notes On my Device the toggle is on, but grey, and can´t be switched off.
