From time to time, I keep getting this notification, even if I delete it.

I tried deleting it from Notifications in System Preferences.

The Microsoft Office is installed from the App Store, I previously had it installed from Microsoft website. I think I uninstalled it using AppCleaner. There is no need for this notification as I will be getting updates from the App Store.

I tried deleting Microsoft AU Daemon from ~/Library/Application Support.

Try looking in
  • ~/Library/LaunchAgents
  • ~/Library/LaunchDaemons
  • /Library/LaunchAgents
  • /Library/LauncDaemons
  • /System/Library/LaunchAgents
  • /System/Library/LauncDaemons

Note: All of these folders may not exist on your Mac. They are only created if a process uses it.

Also look in /Library/Application Support/Microsoft - throw the file into AppCleaner from freemacsoft and see what it finds.

/Library is the one not in your user-folder.

I use EasyFind (free), which searches your entire system, helpful in trying to root out issues such as this.

Thank you for the suggestions. I had a look at these folders and found relevant folders and files to delete. Hopefully this should be the last time I see that notification.
