Do i simply need to buy a bunch of USB wires that start with micro usb in the apple tv and end with regular usb female so i can plug in a hub, keyboard and mouse? How do i plug HDMI and micro usb in at the same time? Do i have to shave the tips of the wires so they fit? Is there any way to make the connection wireless which i would prefer a lot over wired (Bluetooth,wifi,other...)?

I understand i have to jailbreak and install some stuff which i can do easily but i do not understand this and google refused to tell me.

You cannot put a USB keyboard on the Apple TV 2. It is a USB device (keyboard), not a USB host (computer). Therefore, it cannot connect to a keyboard or USB external hard drive.

Those links are for the Apple TV 1 and will not work on the ATV2. While the ATV2 may have Bluetooth, it isn't turned on in the current firmware and may never be turned on.

Thanks for the clarification!

is there any site that would tell me when it is available for apple tv2?

Probably Macrumors.com and remember, such a feature may never come to the Apple TV 2.

If you have an iDevice, why don't you use Apple's Remote app to type on the ATV2 with?

However, you can just use Apple's Remote app on another iOS device and that will allow you to use the on-screen or "soft" keyboard that is on the iOS device that you hold in your hands (i.e. iPod touch, iPhone, iPad).

And if you really really want to use an external keyboard you can do as the above say, hence use remote on a (non Apple-TV) iOS device but connect a bluetooth to that device.
