I wonder if anyone out there can help a newbie iPhone owner please?

I have a Canon MG5350 printer which is attached wirelessly to my Netgear N600 Dual band router. Logging onto the router I can see the printer as a device.

My iMac and my Windows laptop can both find the printer and use it without trouble.

My wife's iPad used to be able to see it, but now can't, and neither can my newly acquired iPhone 5S. Both devices just say there are no AirPrint Printers found.

All software updates have been undertaken to no avail.

I wonder if anyone has come across a problem with recent iOS updates that could cause this?

Try App called PrinterPro. You install it on your iPhone an PrinterPro Desktop on your PC. Setup is easy, Priting from your iPhone will go over Desktop App. Works fine for me.

are you sure both the iPad and your iPhone are on the same wifi network? i haven't had any issues with AirPrint.

bbrks - Thank you. Netgear have responded with an application called NETGEARGenie, which gets round the problem, but requires the iMac to be live with the Genie running. Not ideal when you are trying to print from the iPad downstairs, as you first have to run upstairs to wake the iMac, but, hey, its an answer! Are you aware whether PrinterPro will work with a sleeping iMac?

wongster - Thank you. Yes they are both on the same network.

Not sure if Printer Pro would work with a sleeping Mac hosting the server.

However, there are some limitations/wonky workarounds to print some types of documents.
