I cant seem to find HD movies in iTunes. On new or old releases. Is there something in particular that i need to do to make the HD version show?

HD movies are only available for rent on the AppleTV. Apple has yet to allow HD downloads of movies to a computer. Some TV shows are available for purchase on your computer in HD now though.

my ATV is on the way, should get it tomorrow or the next day. Can i DL HD movies on the ATV?
You can only DL Rental HD movies on the AppleTV, there is no option at the moment for a "purchase" of a HD movie through apple at this time. Only Rental of HD Movies. You can purchase SD Movies.
why can you not buy HD movies? Is that in the near future? The main reason I bought an ATV was to have surround sound on iTunes purchased movies.
That is due to the movie companies I believe...I am sure if Apple can convince them there is money to be made that won't lead to widespread piracy, we'll have those in the future too...
