Turbotax is buggy as always and when I called in for help they asked me to install Glance (via the turbotax support website). Upon running the zip file, the app was installed (I see it in launchpad), but it fails to run. The call ended up dropping and I think I'm just going to wait till next weekend and hope Turbotax gets updated with the fixes I need.

Now, I'm trying to get rid of GlanceGuest by dragging it from the launchpad to trash but that doesn't work.

Any idea how to remove this?

Thanks.

Apps are not deleted by dragging from the LaunchPad. Open the Applications folder in finder and delete it there.

I don't see it in the Applications folder. The same is true for a Yahoo app which I have no idea how it even got installed.

I went to terminal and ran
% find . -name "Glance*" -print

That showed me GlanceGuest was in the Applications folder under my username (as opposed to the global applications folder). The Yahoo app was there too under a subdirectory for chrome apps. I deleted those files and directory and now it's all good.
