I customized my springboard and I want to remove the dock icon labels. I tried using Winterboard but it didnt work.

I went to var/stash/themes/my theme/ but I could not find the file. Where should I look? Any ideas?

i think both of you need to re-read the orig post. he said he already tried winterboard, and that did not work. he is looking for another way.

BossPaper can do this for you. You can choose to hide just icon labels, dock labels or both. Also, there's no need to have winterboard installed.

It can take the dock background away, change it to a smaller and more transparent version or a smaller version of the stock looking dock.

winterboard didn't work because he doesn't know what he's doing. he doesn't know what he's doing because he didn't read the documentation. i am certain of this, because he said in his original post that winterboard didn't work. winterboard works.

For goodness sake I don't want to end this as a debacle like 4th graders. Yes, I did read Sauriks documentation. Like my original post said... I tried using Winterboard to get rid of the icon labels but with so much customization and changing of files, it wouldn't even hide it.

I did got rid of the icon labels. I found the file under the theme sections with the bundle folders.

Now, my next obstable is trying to get rid of the dock reflection. I have downloaded the no dock reflection under Cydia and used Winterboard to trun it on but still didnt work. So now I'm going back to my SSH'ing and will try to find that certain file.

Heres my spring board and look at the reflection below...

I was wondering though how you got rid of thos Icon labels, i am having the exact same problem

If you want to customise themes in winterboard you must put the hack, e.g. No docked icon labels, above said theme in the list.
Winterboard works, people just don't read!

YOU ARE INCORRECT...lets clear this up before we start some argument. this is a screenshot of my winterboard. i have read about winterboard i know that i am using it correctly, i have been using it since my 1st gen iPhone.

There is a way to remove them by editing the .strings i know that, but i can't figure out how to edit them.

Just wondering if this is possible outside of:

Winterboard
Bosspaper

I'd like to minimize the MS extensions I'm using on my device so a solution would be ideal.

Which theme is that? I get a headache trying to look at screenshots of all the themes to try and find cool ones...

Joe

The 'Reflection' is part of the icons themselves (the ones you got in that dockflow theme) you will have to locate those with an SSH program and then simply erase the reflection with photoshop or a similar image editing program
