How do I remove the icons in the email app?

Since installing iOS 18.2, when I open my email app, there is a large icon besides each email.

I absolutely hate this as it takes up way too much space beside the email.

Can someone please guide me on how to remove the icons and have the emails look like they did before?

• Open Settings.
• Navigate to Apps -> Mail and scroll to Message List section.
• Toggle the setting for “Show Contact Photos” to hide these icons.
