How do I restore the calendar to the home screen, and why did it disappear?

So, I upgraded to iOS 15 a couple of days ago. I ended up with two icons for the calendar, one big and one small. I thought, OK, I’ll delete the small one and keep the big one. Wrong. I deleted the small one and BOTH disappeared. How do I get at least one of them back? The clock is the same way. Now iv got two clock icons but I’m afraid to delete either one of them.

You’ve not given much to go on but sounds like you have deleted the actual calendar app. Download it from the App Store.

It almost sounds like you're talking about the app (the smaller icon) and its widget (the larger icon). Widgets can be edited without impacting the app itself.
