How do I restore with Saurik/Rock app

Here's my problem, Cydia is not loading it keeps crashing. Know I went through the SSH into the files and checked for updates and all that jazz, bottom line cydia is still crashing, so I want to restore the phone but I heard Apple isn't signning the 3.1.2 for the 3g(s) anymore. So how do I restore with Saurik & Rock App. with my ECID SHSH files in there servers?

I read the article, and attempted the switch but ran into a bump, how do I edit the host file to put the new server address im using widows xp?

Cool I followed both steps layed out, Know I have a question how does my iTunes know to use Saurik"s server and not the official one?

It reads the hosts file and follows the link to Saurik's server that you just added? That was the whole point of editing your hosts file.
