How do I run a command from terminal?

I have EyeTV and want to listen to the radio through it. I've seen a weblog which says to "run the following command from terminal (defaults write com.elgato.eyetv "Add Audio-Only Services" -bool 'true')" How do I run a command from terminal?

Open Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal

then type the command and hit enter.
