My iMessage app is taking up like 40GBs on my Max, and I'd like to clean that up a bit. Unlike WhatsApp, iMessage doesn't save everything you receive into the camera roll. Is there an easy way to just export all pics and videos? If not, what's the best option?

There's no easy one click method.  wants it to be a hassle to offload data from iMessage so that people stay semi trapped in the app. Locking them in.
Same story with iBooks; easy to get big files into that app, impossible to get them out. Just about everything in iOS is modeled after a prison (except for the pretty scenery). Or a rat trap
