How do I set up a keychain on my iPad?

I have been trying to look up if and how I can set up a keychain on my iPad using the forum search function but all that tells me is I have made an error and redirects me to this section.

What am I doing wrong and can I set up a keychain?

I do, honestly, try to look things up so as not to upset the wise ones on here and so I don't look so stupid but little things like this lessen my chances of ether!
