I drop pins on an Apple map in my iPhone. How do I share that map with all the pins? I understand how to share individual pins. But if I have a map with a dozen pins, how can I share those dozen pins in one fell swoop? I mark a dozen locations, and I want someone to SEE those dozen locations on a map. On my own phone, I have a nice map with all the pins shown. But I want others to see that same map.

Um, so then the person I send the map to can't do anything with the individual pins, like navigating to them. That's not very classy. At least if I share all of the pins individually, they can build their own map, but that's a major effort. I want to share a MAP OF PINS, not just individual pins.

I've established a bunch of pinned locations on my iPhone maps in my neighborhood for a specific issue. I've established all of them as "favorites". That's nice, as I can display these favorites on my Mac Maps app as well via iCloud. But my "favorites" file has a load of pinned locations, most of which have NOTHING to do with that specific issue. Is there some way to categorize favorite locations. In that these locations are where my kids friends live, and these locations are where there are potholes in the street, and these locations are heritage trees? These favorites are ALL JUMBLED TOGETHER in my "favorites" list. It would be wonderful if "favorites" had folders. As in, THESE favorites are about THIS, and THESE favorites about THAT.

Thanks. I'll check that out. Boy,. that's a dumb name to organize groups of favorites! That actually answers another question that I had was how you organize favorites. That is, favorites may come in many different flavors. I might want to drop pins at all potholes in the neighborhood, and I might want to drop pins for my friends houses. No sense in having those all in one confused list.

OK, got it. You use "Guides". "Guides" are folders or groups. Now, why don't they just say that??? A folder or group isn't guiding me anywhere.

As far as I can tell, there is NO WAY to get rid of "Guides We Love" (which I hate) in iOS Maps. Is that really true? It just crapifies the Maps page. iOS designers ought to have their heads examined on that one.

Go to iOS Maps on your phone. Scroll down below "My Guides". You get a BIG page on "Guides We Love" with all sorts of useless crap. If you want to get to the "Share My Location" or "Mark My Location" or "Report an Issue" buttons, you have to scroll past this nonsense.

You must be new to Maps.

Do I understand that if I drop a pin, and don't save that pin in Favorites or Guides, the next pin you drop just writes over the first? That is, you can't drop a lot of pins and THEN go back and save them?

That's correct, you only get one pin at a time. It's a little annoying when trying to mess around with custom navigation (as I did two weeks ago for an alternate route to the airport).

Ah, thanks for your quick response. I need to walk around and mark places for a map, which I will do by hitting "Mark My Location". But every time I do that, I have to save it as a Favorite or to a Guide folder. That's a little inconvenient. Sure would be nice if I could mark a place by just hitting ONE button.
