Apple Music How do I share playlists on Apple music?

I've joined my friend to family sharing on my iphone 13 - but can't see how to share playlists in Apple music.
Does he have to join me to family sharing on his iphone

As far as I know, all you have to do is hit the three dots on the upper right hand corner of a playlist, tap SHARE and then send it to another person via iMessage, AirDrop, or whatever you want. That person gets a link that adds the playlist to their Apple Music.
