19,1 iMac, Monterey 12.0.1: How do I stop displaying the black box in Apple Mail (see attached)?

Looks like an address header showing what address is on your destination.
Does it appear when you put the mouse cursor on item or URL (internet) link?
If yes then I'm afraid it cannot be processed. And if there are some solutions they will probably override in all apps.

I agree that it is an address. It’s a display for a link at The New York Times. I didn’t think this was a feature in Monterey. Maybe it is a feature of any email from the New York Times digest subscription. I would like to turn it off, however. I was hoping someone would know how to turn off. The box blocks a lot of territory.
