I figure the ipad charges faster when its off... but i notice a lot of times when i plug it in... it turns itself on automatically.... How can I stop that from happening?

Hm not really. Providing you're not using it when it's charging, the difference is negligible.

You really can't. The iPad turns on if you charge it while it's off and there is NO way to fix it.

You can turn it off while it's plugged in by holding down the wake/sleep botton. But as stated before if the iPad is off or in sleep mode you really won't see noticeable if any difference in charging times. That is if we are talking about using a wall charger.

ah.. thanks (for the non-sarcastic responses). I did not know there wasn't any difference between charging while asleep/and off.

Ipad earlier used to show the charged %age and it was also not switching on automatically upon pluging in charger. I switched on my Ipad after a year and was surprised, so i tried to check on forums, i was thinking there might be a hardware deffect lolz!
