My friend got a 120GB iPod classic from one of his friends and he wants to sync the songs from my Macbook. He doesn't want to lose the songs on his iPod and I don't want to lose my songs and I don't want his music on my Macbook. Is this possible?

if the ipod has never been connected to the computer then u can connect it and it will ask if you want to sync or not. dont sync and then find some freeware to help with what u want to do

when it is plugged in, check the box "Manually manage music and videos". then just drag and drop the music you want to place on the iPod. this will allow you to:
1. not lose any existing music on both the iPod and the computer
2. not transfer anything from the iPod to the computer
3. have both music from the iPod and the computer on the iPod
