How do I update Adium?

How do I update Adium? I'm using .82 and the newest version is .84, I think. When I went to the site to update it just flashed the main screen - do I have to download the whole program over? I don't want to redo all my settings and stuff. Help!

Press the "Download Adium X 0.84" link and just install it at usual.

Your settings should be preserved.

Download the file and open it, and drag the program (the big duck icon) into your "Applications" folder. Open it...it will run like normal, with all your old settings.

All true, apart from the fact you may have to choose to replace the old version. Your preferences are stored in the main directory so you do not have to worry about those being overwritten.

Every time I update Adium, my theme/skin always gets reset. Always.

Just put it back if that happens to you, but I thought I'd put this in so you weren't too concerned if it went wrong.
