How do I update my Iphone from 4.0 firmware to 4.1 without upgrading baseband?

Do you have the blob for 4.1? You can't use TU without saving the blobs to your computer first.

It does not have 4.1 blob saved! It only has 4.2.1 and 4.3b2. What do I do??? I don't want 4.2, I want 4.1 because of untethered jailbreak.

if you do not have shsh saved for 4.1 then you can't upgrade to 4.1 and read up on tethered i have had it a month and used redsn0W for the tether once.

Sorry, but advice above is accurate. Without blobs for 4.1 you'll have to wait for the Dev Team to come out with an untethered jb for 4.2.1 or 4.3. Worth waiting for in my opinion.

Yes, like said above. You could never restore or update to 4.1 without shsh blobs.
