how do I update with sparkle?

Hi.
I want to update to the latest version of pwnagetool.
According to the dev-team blog, I should use "sparkle" to do this.
I'd like to use the reccomended method.

What is sparkle, and how do I use it?

If I use finder so search for sparkle, I get a bunch of hits.
But if I click on them, I just get a terminal opening with a display of garbage text.

Go to the Application Menu and select "Check for updates..."

Sparkle is just the update system they use.

I'm so used to the windows and linux menu styles that I didn't think to look at the top of the screen.
