How do i use quickpwn...and yes i've searched

this is my first time jailbreaking my iphone 16g EDGE and i need some help with quickpwn.

I've downloaded quickpwn but it only shows up in my 'downloads' box in my browser. I have NO IDEA what to do now.

I've restored my phone and have a clean backup if that helps at all.

hey,

I'm not going to scold you but there is a really excellent guide on the same page as this same post you made on how Togo about it step by step. Please search first.

Ifyou are using osx you have to mount the image like any other program and then run the executable inside the dskimage. Fromthere follow the very straight forward intrudtions.
If you have already installed a clean 2.1 is on your phone then quickpwn should already see the ipsw file it needs quick is the the iphone software that it modifies during unlocking.

I recomment NOT addinginstalleras from what I have read it may slow yourphone down. I used cydia only.

I also recommend you do not add a custom startup screen because worst case is that your phone ends up need g service and that custom screen is a good indicator your phone is missed.

The install is simple and a 12 year old could do itso I won't go over it.

I wish I had seen this thread last night. Just used quickpwn and followed those directions and wow, instead of two hours last night of banging my head on the table, I spent maybe ten minutes of staring at the screen, easy!
