How do I use the Swirly MMS app?

I am using T-mobile, how do I know what my settings are?

Do I need to have a viewer as well as the app?

I tried to find a video on youtube, but there aren't any.

I could not for the life of me get this to work on my iphone, however, I went to SwirlyMMS site and they have settings that actually worked! I just tested it out and it works great. Here they are and enjoy!

MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS-APN: wap.voicestream.com
User: empty
Pass: empty
 
Ok, so these settings worked great (I was able to fetch the MMS), but I cannot view the pictures, it says I need another program, where do I get the program to view the files?

you need to install mobilefinder from apps.

Good question. I would assume that there would be a charge against your text messaging since there is no MMS plan for the iPhone. That is a guess though so maybe someone who's used this program and gotten a recent bill can chime in.
 
i have the right settings for t-mobile but it keeps saying:

"Possible incorrect mmsc setting. Unexpected http response (HTTP/1.1 502 Server Hangup)"
 
I cannot get this to work! It is driving me crazy, I know I have the right settings and everything, because I can fetch the mms just fine. When I go into the finder app I can view the files, but only as tiny thumbnails (about 1/4 in.) I also am using the preview app, and the first time I tried it, it pulled up the picture and I could view it. But I have not been able to view a file with it since, it opens the app, but it is just a blank page.

Is there another app that I need or that I can try?

Any solution for this yet? I'm having the exact same problem. :mad:
 
For those of you who can't get it to work through AT&T:

I am not sure if AT&T will allow the sending and receiving of MMS if the iphone data plan is on the account.

I'm using an old Media Works plan and can send and receive MMS fine, as that data plan includes 200 mms per month.

it does work with ATT.... a customer rep (my cousin) .. told me that apple does not want ATT to activate the feature that allows mms to be sent.. atleast not yet.. however if u call .. n speak to a rep long enough to get annoyed n tell them that ur payin for mms and the who texting service.. they SHOULD turn it on.. i guarantee u .. it is not a lie.. if u dont believe... try takin ur ATT sim and put it in an Unlocked/jailbroken iphone thats not registered to u.. fix the settings n it will work.

it does work .. just tell em to activate ... they'll come with some bs n ****.. but b firm.. ur payin for the feature.. i will post a video on youtube soon... under .. Babyfu69
 
i called and tried to add the mms plan and they kept telling that if they add the mms plan it would comflict with my data plan. so my quesyion is did you remove the ihpone data plan and add the other plan???

I did. It takes a while to be in effect though. Like I had my plan changed in the morning and it work towards the end of the day

Also just FYI you will loose Visual voice mail. I just didn't care for it. I can now send a receive pictures :)

ATT will tell u it doesnt work or some bs.. but its ur MEDIA NET .. n they said that its going to be available by the end of next month.. if u could wait that long thats on u.. but hey it really works..
