Hey

just got my mbp 17", and I'm still getting used to it. I downloaded a .zip folder into my harddrive, but how do I zip it? I'm getting an error popping up when I double click on it saying this:

Unable to unarchive "name of zip folder.zip" into Macintosh HD".
(Error 1 - operation not permitted.)

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Maybe it was password protected. I strongly recommend these two unarchiving/archiving apps: The Unarchiver and Stuffit

BTW: Opening a zip folder's contents is unzipping. Zipping is making file/s into a zip file :)

yeah, you need stuffit. mac's zip utility is only good for simple archives w/o any security
