I installed the iPad OS 15 beta on my Ipad 6th generation. It's only used as a media device for me so I usually use it for trying out new betas. But holy **** if it's not running absolutely painfully slow. Safari takes ages to open, its very slow and sluggish to move between apps, it freezes several times per day. All in all it feels kind of like using and ancient android tablet for modern use. Almost unusable.
Granted, I didn't do a clean install, but as far as I know that shouldn't be necessary.

What do you think?

It's OK on my 2013 Air 2... Maybe the first time I've ever felt an OS version feel slower or clunkier on it, but then that could just be because it's such an early beta for now...

I currently have it installed on an iPad 7th gen which has the same A10 chipset as your 6th gen but 3GB instead of 2GB RAM. Beta is working fine there albeit I really don't like new Safari UI.

Of course, that iPad only has like less than 30 apps installed and barely any data stored. It's on a dummy iCloud account as well so it has all of maybe 100 photos (mostly screenshots).

Anyone tried the beta on an iPad Pro 9.7” ?
How does performance compare to iPadOS 13 and 14?

I don’t have any plans to install the beta but I’m interested to know.

Many thanks!

It's quite good on iPad mini 5. still feel that battery has taken a hit. But overall its running smooth.

Welp. Safari just crashed on my iPad 7th gen three times within a 1-hour period. I don't think I even had too many tabs open.
