How do these songs (EDM) sound on the Airpods Max compared to Sony WHXMs? (poll)

How are you liking the Airpods Maxes for EDM? Anyone is welcome to share their opinion not just EDM listeners. If you've got the Sony XM3s or XM4s, I'm curious to see what you think. I find the mids to be lacking and too muffled on the APMs compared to the Sonys. Take a listen to the following two songs for example:

I have my Sony's EQ'ed (as I find the bass too much in stock settings which the APM cannot do) and the Sony's definitely have more neutral mids. The APM has a hole in the mids (I guess Apple tried to remove frequencies that can be offensive to some people)

However the Sony's sound muffled in comparison to the APM due to lack of treble extension. But perhaps you can fix that with EQ (I did not try it yet).

If your criteria is based on sound alone (and not take into account price, case, cable, customisable ANC level, custom EQ and all the other extra features Sony offers), I would probably go for the APM if this is what you are listening to.

Will likely return the APMs. Sony's just sound better for this kinda music.
