Ok, so you turn on iTunes Match in settings on your iDevice, and it defaults to Show All Music. Great.....except....what if I don't want to see all my music all the time? If I turn this off.....how the hell to I then ADD music? Since now you can't sync with iTunes.

That's what I'm trying to figure out as well. Say I'm on a long trip and I'd like to listen to a different CD or a different band. How can I just search my iPhone or iCloud to have them?

Unfortunately you have to "Show All Music" to download new stuff and toggle it back off if you only want to see stuff that is already on your device. It is a pain, yes, but you get used to it. Generally, I have my phone 2/3rds filled up with music and only toggle on "Show All Music" when I'm on wi-fi and want to add more, or want to stream a specific thing. 3G streaming is too sketchy to use all of the time anyway.

So how do you get rid of a song then? Let's say this weekend I want to add 100 songs for a trip. Then on Monday when I go running, I'd like to add 20 different songs, but I don't have room on my iPhone or iPod. How do I get rid of the 100 songs I added so I can make room for those 20?

And why can't I download a whole album at once on this USELESS update to the Music app on the iPad? I can download ALL songs from an artist....but not a single album.

Sure you can. Go to the artist, then the album and scroll to the bottom and select "Download All"

Right....that will download ALL music from that artist. I want just one album.

-Kevin

Not if you go to the album after you go to the artist. It will download just that album. I just verified this works as I'm about to leave work and wanted one album by The Antlers downloaded but not the other.

Oh sorry, I misread your question... On the iPad (and yes, this is annoying) you have to go to the album tab instead of the artist tab to download just an album
